Let me explain

Lane and I decided to stay in tonight due to work and social anxiety. We were drinking and minding our business when we heard a horrible sound- a cat drowning/fighting/hissing and ran we to the backyard to see what was happening. The orange kitty next door and a big ugly rabid raccoon were fighting on the fence. I sent Lane outside with a samurai sword to save the day but Crabby Potatoes was already hitting the raccoon over the head with a plank and trying to knock the mother f-er out. The orange kitty got away in okay shape and hopefully the raccoon is scared off for a few weeks or days. Regardless, this whole episode has taught us that we are not ready to let the kittens venture out in the world, especially at night. We love them. They must be supervised at all times.

Please disregard the bad grammar.

UPDATE: Lane reminded me that he grabbed the sword on his own and when he was outside I said "Get back in here". Silly man- grab a wooden sword and chase a raccoon?!

Keep them indoor cats if you can. Less expensive and less painful in the long run...
